10 PHP Frameworks compared

PHPHacks.com have compared 10 PHP Frameworks : Zend Framework, CakePHP, Symfony Project, Seagull Framework, WACT - Web Application Toolkit, Prado, PHP on Trax, ZooP Framework, eZ Components, and CodeIgniter. Of course the question that we always ask about frameworks, which is the better framework to choose, and the answer is choose the one that fit most to your requirements, which is very variable from a project to another. These are probably the most popular, but the list is pretty much longer !

Besides the features mentioned for each framework, all the above mentioned frameworks are compatible with PHP5. CakePHP, Seagull, WACT, ZOOP and CodeIgniter can be run on PHP4. Frameworks Prado and eZ Components do not support MVC. All the frameworks support Multiple databases and DB Objects besides Prado which doesn’t support DB Objects. Caching is not supported by WACT and PHP on TRAX.
