Nexen.net publish PHP Usage Stats for May 2006

Nexen.net has published the PHP usage stats for May 2006. Nexen, a French PHP company, regularly publishes PHP stats based on an analysis made on 14 million servers, of which, 7.7 million servers had appropriate activity to be included in this analysis (parked domains, inaccessible websites or ISPs have been removed from stats). Briefly :

* PHP 4.4.2 will become the dominating version during June 2006
* PHP 5.1.2 is now the dominating PHP 5 version
* PHP 5 use raised to 8%, and raised its adoption speed again
* PHP 4.3.9 and older kept a market share of 46% this month. Only the new versions were upgraded to even newer versions.
